Leadership for Life
At Girls Leadership Institute, we see leadership as a way of life. Little decisions like what to wear, what to eat, how to carry herself, how to speak, where to sit at lunch, what to do at recess, or how to talk to a friend—these are all opportunities for girls to lead.
Leadership happens when girls are authentic, assertive, aspiring and emotionally intelligent. Relationships are a compelling classroom where girls learn how to express themselves, listen, negotiate and compromise. When girls hone these skills in their most personal relationships, they develop the foundation of what they’ll need in their public, personal and professional aspirational pursuits.
The girl who can tell her friend to stop bossing her around today will become the young woman who asks for a raise at her first job tomorrow.
