Would you like to help further GLI's mission to give girls the skills and confidence to live as leaders? GLI is in need of office supplies, furniture, food and snacks for our workshops, headquarters, and much more. If you or your organization is interested in making an in-kind donation, please contact us!
The Girls Leadership Institute’s NEW Parent & Daughter Friendship Series provides an opportunity for girls and their significant role models to learn new skills for navigating toxic friendships, ways to access courage for facing challenges and how to communicate with confidence. This is a Part II to our 4/5 series, however it is not a requirement to have taken Part I first.
As girls become young adults, the ability to be resilient in the face of challenges, to own mistakes, and to set a strong internal compass for healthy friendships and relationships is critical. In this workshop, parent-daughter pairs will practice skills to build and strengthen their authentic voice. Girls and parents will have the opportunity to bond and have fun in a safe environment, and develop a common language to face challenges together.
GLI would like to thank all of our donors for their support. With their help, GLI is teaching girls the skills to become more emotionally intelligent, assertive young women who can advocate for themselves in any relationship. Donations support program scholarships, teacher observation, curriculum development, new materials, and program evaluation and assessment. We could not maintain our high standards of programming or reach the thousands of girls and families we touch every year without support from our generous donors.
Girls Leadership Institute is committed to providing girls and families with equal access to programs. We are able to offer scholarship assistance with reliance on funding from donors, corporations and foundations. We do our best to support any motivated family who wants to participate in workshops and/or camps. Availability of funding is based on the number of requests and the amount of funding available at the time of the requests.
