GLI Office Manager

Director of Operations
Girls Leadership Institute (GLI) is seeking a Director of Operations for its main office in Berkeley, CA. We are looking for a detail-orientated, organized individual experienced with bookkeeping, program coordination, executive administration support, Microsoft Word and Excel, who also practices excellent writing and communication skills including strong interpersonal/client service skills.

The GLI Director of Operations will be responsible for coordinating national programs in New York, Colorado and the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as maintaining the communication and organization of the GLI office.

The GLI Director of Operations will work closely with the GLI Executive Director to provide:

Office Management
• Maintain the office day to day, include phone calls, shipping, and filing
• Maintain QuickBooks and fulfill accountant requests
• Help prepare materials for GLI workshops, events, and marketing
• Set-up and use GLI online registration to create new programs, track registration levels, and communicate with clients

Program Coordination
• Systematize and maintain communication and preparation required for GLI workshops
• Coordinate programs in three states (monitor registrations, maintain calendars, communicate with clients, create contracts, etc.)
• Arrange all San Francisco area events, including Parent/Daughter Workshops, Speeches, and Day Camps including ensuring reservations, logistics for meeting rooms, contract details, and program materials
• Collect, maintain and report program evaluation information
• Organize materials and contacts to prepare for the GLI summer camp
• Draft client contracts and maintain online company calendar of programs

Communications
• Handle inquiries from client families, schools and organizations
• Coordinate fundraising appeals, and monitor and record donations and send donation confirmation correspondence
• Proofread all outgoing communications
• Update the GLI website with ongoing program details

Position is ¾ time, with potential for full time. Director of Operations is expected to report to the GLI office from 9AM until 3PM, Monday through Friday. There is some flexibility to work from home on occasion.
