After School: Club Real Girl
Club Real Girl is the celebrated Girls Leadership Institute’s after-school program for girls in grades four and five. At Club Real Girl girls come together to create a socially safe community where they can play internationally recognized theatre games (Bop anyone?), practice emotional intelligence, learn concrete relationship skills, express themselves and have fun!
Taught by professional educators, Club Real Girl is a unique resource to guide girls through school with grace, courage and authenticity. Sessions typically include community building, skill acquisition, practice or role-play, and the occasional craftiness. We always practice letting go of judgment of ourselves and others and have a blast.

FAQ
How should I explain this program to my daughter:
We would explain it this way, “This is a chance for you to hang out once a week, have fun, and learn about things that they don’t really teach in school and we don’t talk about enough— our relationships… what is great about them, what is hard about them, and what we can do or say when we are upset about something. This is a place where you can be yourself, be silly, and learn amazing skills that will improve all your relationships, help them be more authentic and rewarding.”
What if my daughter can’t make every class?
Because our program emphasizes community, we hope that she’ll be able to make as many classes as possible. If she is sick or needs to miss a class, please just drop us a call or email.
Who is this program for?
Club Real Girl is for every girl. This is a program where girls can learn to let go of judging themselves and others, identify healthy relationships, identifying difficult emotions, and practice expressing difficult emotions or conflict in a healthy and productive way.
Is snack provided?
We don’t provide snack. If your daughter is hungry after school we recommend having her grab something before we get started.
