- Alicia Menendez
Alicia Menendez has experienced politics from many angles: as a staffer on state and federal electoral campaigns (including acting as a primary surrogate on her father’s successful 2006 bid for the US Senate); a political correspondent during the 2008 presidential primary; and as a media consultant for non-profit advocacy groups.
Alicia graduated from Harvard College in 2005. Her senior honors thesis, which used ethnographic research to explore the interplay of gendered ownership of space and women’s social capital, drew the attention of US News and World Reports, The New York Times, and The Harvard Crimson, which named Menendez one of the 15 most interesting members of the class of 2005. That same year, Menendez was selected to deliver the undergraduate commencement address.
Alicia has appeared on MSNBC Live, CNN International, BBC World, and Fox News. Alicia is originally from Union City, NJ (which will always be home) but she now lives in Washington, DC. She loves cooking, watching wedding shows, and talking about herself in the third person (obvi).
