Maddie Alpert

Bio

Maddie is a high school senior living in Washington D.C. with her parents and her lap-dog, Cinnamon. She went to GLI in 2008, and has been fanatical about the program ever since. She went back as a C.I.T and as a camper last year and can't imagine her life without constantly thinking about good girl culture, BFF voices, and the incredible people that she met there.

On the rare occasions that she's not tied up with school and college planning, her favorite things to do are to read, sing, play the guitar, sail on the potomac river, take pictures and explore downtown D.C. with friends. She loves music and spends a ton of time looking for new bands. It changes daily, but today she's loving The White Stripes, Bon Iver and Regina Spektor. After attending the incredible Sophomore Summer program at GLI this summer, she started working with an organization called Global Vision 2020 that works to bring glasses to people in the developing world, and is loving it. She's so psyched to join the ranks of the fierce, fabulous, WOOSH! bloggers.
