Shannon is a teacher by training, and a writer by design.  When she's not teaching or writing, she's loves to read, cook, watch movies, and hang out in the park with her daughter.  Shannon lives in Brooklyn with her husband Chris, little Winnie, and Mystery the Incredible Flying Dog.  She writes about her bookish life and other observations at www.shannonrigney.com.
